Fixed my sim problem...now another one...mobile network
8350i...the sim that was shipped with the BB is now active. Technical support says everything looks fine.
Switched off Wifi...I'm only running the mobile network.
Only shows NXTl, pulled the battery twice. Shows 4-5 bars on the screen but no "L"
Any ideas??? - 06-12-2009, 12:43 PM #2

OK I re-sent the books.
Reset the master radio
Pulled battery for 30 seconds.
Just did the Host Routing Table.
Still showing the "l"
Thanks for all the help thus far.
I will master this darn thing. - 06-12-2009, 01:08 PM #6
Pull your battery for about 5 minutes... Someone please post what the NXTl means word for word so I can see it. Thanks.

Ok you are missing the browser and pin functions... I am on wap so I don't know, are you boosting? If resending your service books and registering with HRT did not work call nextel. There is an issue with your account. But if your boosting, look up top for the sticky.

Just got out of the Sprint store.
They looked at the BB and said I needed a software update. Said it will take 45 mins or so and they were closing.
I'll go back tomorrow.
Sound legit??? - 06-12-2009, 04:20 PM #9

The Desktop manager cd that came with the 8350i.
Make sure to do a back up first.
If not you can DL the dm from RIM site as well as the current OS. The DL will take a while. - 06-12-2009, 04:37 PM

Just checked the BB Desktop Manager...says I have:
4.61.204 - 06-12-2009, 04:48 PM #13
The current OS is 4.6.1.204(316)
I believe that is what you were going for.
You may have to call CS. Whe you set up the 8350 did you get a data plan with Sprint? - 06-12-2009, 04:53 PM

Yes I got the everything data plan.
Originally I used the old sim from my i580...read here that it may be a problem so I contacted Sprint today and activated the sim card that came with the BB.
I re-sent the books and did a master reset and pulled the battery.
Nothing worked...I went to the sprint repair store. The clerk looked at my plan on-line and said all should be good.
She went to the back room and returned stating that I needed a software update but couldn't do it now.
She gave me a piece of paper and said to return tomorrow.
