the bb dosen't recognize all routers for some reason, took me and sprint a few hours to figure this out, try a friends house and see if the wifi symbol turns white, if it is it might be your router

Do you know the wep key to you rouuter. Just go to set up wifi network. Scan for net works. Type in the wep key when it asks for it and that should fix the issue. Is your network secured?

Hmmmmm. Then it could be the router. Some routers don't agree with this phone. I'd say try the WEP key and if that doesn't work then its the router/phone conflict that bow40 was talking about. Sometimes older routers don't lilke this phone I don't know why.

You can usually find the WEP key by logging into your router via a web interface (check the router manual). However, if you're connecting to the wifi network (and are just unable to get to the internet from there) then chances are this is not the problem.

I had the same problem with my phone connecting to the network but not being able to see the internet. For some reason, I had to disable DHCP (automatic IP address assigning) on the phone and set a static address... Now, it works fine.........

I've got the same problem with my 8350i and my Netgear WNR2000. Tried with no encryption, WEP, and WPA2. Every time it detects the network, and after giving the appropriate security keys/passwords connects. But WiFi remains grayed out and it can't load a web page to save it's life.

Do you have it set to hotspot browser? I know I would have issue sometimes getting it to connect if it wasn't set to hotspot. Also what OS are you running? I haven't had any problems connecting to WiFi with .1051 but I did with .807.

Default Connected to router but not internet

    Hi!

I am frustrated with a similar problem. I have a Storm2 and am now living in New Zealand. I have gotten my mobile network and data working on the phone but, while I'm at home, I'd like to use the wifi. It shows the network name so I know it's connected but the browser gives an error saying "unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If problem persists, contact your service provider." Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance
