Default Can I customize email alert notification according to email title or sender?

Newbie here in need of assistance.

I get lots of email on my phone. I have to respond to certain computer generated email alerts regardless of the hour so I have to leave my phone on at night.

I would like to have my email alerts set to "silent" for all emails except ones from this certain company. I also would like to sleep at night, but struggle with that because now every email wakes me up.

Is there a way to adjust my settings so that the email with a certain title or from this certain company will make a loud sound while the other emails (98%) are silent?

Thank you!

Alert is set per email address only as far as I know. Let me know if you find something different.

Pimp My Mail lets you set your LED based on who's emailing...

Pimp my Mail - LED Status Light Customizer for Email - Entertainment BlackBerry Apps - Crackberry BlackBerry Software Store

You could set Red LEDs for important emails and Blue or Green for non-important. It would still go off, but at least you would know if it was important or not before getting out of bed.

Also, have you thought of separating work from pleasure? I have no idea of your situation, but if your important emails went to a separate address than your "unimportant" calls, you could make your "unimportant" emails have a silent alert.

To make it easy:

Default (all red LED)
Email Address 1 - alert1
Email Address 2 - alert2 (or silent)

Pimp My Mail
Email 1 -
Sender A - Blue
Sender B - Red
Email 2-
Sender C - Green
Sender D - Orange
(all other emails - red LED)

BerryBuzz
Email 1 - alert1 - Blue LED
Email 2 - alert2 (or silent) - Red LED

BerryBuzz + Pimp
Email 1 - alert1 - Blue LED (all senders)
Specific Sender 1 - Red
Email 2 - alert2 - Green LED (all senders)

I use default+berrybuzz. I have work emails set to alert and red, and personal set to silent and blue. This way, work emails alert, and personal will just turn my LED on with blue, as not to disturb anyone around me.

Hi guys
That was a quick reply!
I have a work phone. I am a probation officer and I run a home confinement caseload. (ankle bracelets)
Since I do not own the phone myself, I do not think I can add an application. Our IT dept is really funny about outside software on company computers for example.

The email application looked nice, but I was trying to adjust the settings so that when I received an alert from this one certain company (for someone leaving their without permission, for example) my email notification would wake me up. Likewise, when it was just some other email I could continue sleeping.

I hope someone can help, and thank y'all for the replies!

At present I went to Profile Icon, then scroll down to advanced settings, then I choose Normal then Messenger-alert & I have my ring tone.
All emails get same ringtone. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Where you say your IT department it sounds like you're on a Enterprise server. If you were on BIS, you could go into you BIS account and set the address as a priority e-mail and set a tone just for priority mail. I don't know if there are any settings in the BES to do this.

Good morning everyone,

I'm in the same situation, I'm a newbie help desk tech and a coworker who just got his first BB wants to set the alerts on the phone where he just gets notifications from people within our company and ignore alerts for anything else. I would have thought i could just add the domain name to a safe list but I'm not sure how to configure it myself. I'm a blackberry newbie as well and haven't really gotten too deep into setting custom alerts.

Thanks
