Anyone successfully gotten Warranty on this model & Boost Service?
Uggh! I hate getting the run-around!! I called Blackberry, they looked up my IMEI number and said the warranty expired in November even though I purchased the phone brand new in March 2010. The shop I bought the phone from is no longer there, nor is the building so don't know if they moved or went out of business... Blackberry person spoke to Sprint Customer care, then the Nextel division, then the Boost division. Boost tells them i've had the phone since March 2009 according to their records which is impossible as I know for a fact I purchased it in 2010. Boost is going by the date I first got Boost service which was with a Motorola phone. So I go to the sprint store/service and they look up my number and claim they can't touch the phone because it shows it's a boost account even though it's a Nextel phone. They tell me to go to a Boost store so I do and they tell me they can't do anything because it's a Nextel phone and I should go to the Sprint/Nextel Store.
So nobody wants to handle warranty on this... Whatever happened to Manufacturers Warranty? Why the **** does it matter who my carrier is/was? I just want the phone serviced. Do they really try that hard not to cover a warranty? Should I complain to the BBB?
