Default Two part question

I was wondering what I would need to view the file after I back-up my Curve, and is there away to retrieve deleted BBM's?

Download MagicBerry on your computer. It can open the IPD file from the backup.

As for "deleted BBMs", are you saving the chat history on your Media Card? If so, you might be able to retrieve them from that.

How do you go about retrieving messages from the media card, and would that apply to text messages too?

Do you have the chat history enabled in BBM? If so, go through that feature. Highlight the contact in BBM, press the Menu button, select "View Chat History" to see what is there.

No. It does not apply to text messages. But if you have a backup on a computer, the information that was on the device at the time of the backup will be in the backup file.

When you are viewing the chat history, press the Menu button and select "Email Chat" or "Copy Chat".

My BBM's don't show up when I back up the phone. Am I doing something wrong? All I get is the text messages. Can I get messages saved to media card when I back up the phone?

No. You can't get them back on the phone. You can only view them in the backup or in the chat history.
