I tried to unlock my blackberry curve 9300 but when i type my mep code i get error please wait. so i called Rogers and they told me I have to wait a year before I could unlock how do I fix this issue to unlock my blackberry curve 9300 any help would be much appreciated thank you Note: called rogers First then got my mep code and tried to unlock

That sounds like complete crap. I don't think they are allowed to prevent you from unocking. I know some carriers, Koodo for sure, will unlock for you once you have been with them for a year. But you should be able to unlock it through an unlocking service. You might want to try upgrading the OS with a non-Rogers approved OS download, just delete vendor.XML file. I did have trouble unlocking a 9300 recently. The only way I could get to the unlock code entry was to put a different SIM card in. Was a Koodo phone, put my Virgin SIM in and it asked me if I wanted to unlock. Entered the code and off to the races.
