    Default SMS Memory

I just want to ask if my SMS can be saved on SD Cards? I've just checked some threads still I can't find any answers. Another question is does SMS eats up my phone memory?

I also want to know if the BB OS can really eat up almost half of my phone memory. I've checked the memory its getting, it's 136.2 MB.

Thanks for those who can help me!

No. They cannot be saved to the Media Card.
Yes. They use up part of the device memory. But the space they take up is typically small.
Yes. The device OS uses a lot (almost half sounds normal) of the device memory.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the OS, I'm Planning to format my phone to have a fresh memory. So my question is how to format the phone? Then how can I obtain the latest OS for my phone?

    Don't "format" the phone.

If you want, you can use the Security Wipe or BBSAK to wipe the device before you install a new OS. But it's not necessary. Just install the OS.

Go to the stickied threads at the top of the forum section for your device model, and you will find threads with the latest OS verisons.

I suggest you use bb protect. You can back up data OTA and restore it OTA. This includes text messages, memos, contacts(excludes bbm, do a separate backup for that) etc.
