I was trying to close a message, when the screen went white, and shut down. I tried pulling the battery, and nothing happened. Plugged the phone in and now it won't even charge. Any help?

This happened to a buddy, and it was because he sat on his screen, replaced it and worked fine. But, i would try plugging it into blackberry desktop, back it up, if not already, then wipe it and reload os..

I tried to connect to desktop manager, but it stays disconnected. How do I wipe it and reload the os?

When I took the phone to get fixed last weekend, the guy took the battery out, talked to me for a minute or two, put the battery back in and it worked. Nothing different than what I was doing, wierd! Yesterday the same thing happened, without the white screen. I tried taking the battery out for a while, but nothing. I left the battery out over night, put it in this morning, and still it won't reboot. I was told that it is probably the main board. Any ideas anyone?
