I had a bit of a strange experience with this update at first. I updated it from .668 yesterday. It ran fine for a while and I really did not notice much difference.

Into the evening, I started seeing a higher number of browser crashes. Then, when trying to make calls, any number I would try calling would come back with an error stating the the number I was calling was invalid - check the number and try again. Thought that was strange. Tried a few restarts - still same problem. Did a few battery pulls - still the same problem. Thought I would leave it for the night then have to downgrade today. Funny thing is this morning, thought I would give it one more shot ... it all worked fine. It has now been running fine the whole day - phone and browser.

I have no clue what happened there for a while but all seems fine now.

Strange indeed.... From build 666 I have rampant browser crashes.. Getting a lot of those mem issue messages, this build seems to have fix that issue, in regards to invalid num. I'm guessing it could be a network issue since its worked out fine in the morning...

So far on my end, no crashes after the update, 12 hours passed I'm still at 60% with average use, average emails, lots of bbms and ims, some text and few calls.

GF's BB working fine until now. Battery life is the same as .668. She isn't complaining about anything. I've done my job!

Three days in with .723. So far, its been really great - it appears my battery drain average has dropped from 0.6 per hour to 0.4. (per Tiny Meter - highly suggest you try it to monitor battery and memory drain/usage with logging, free, 26 KB)
All was smooth until I suddenly ran out of memory - Help Me! showed zero bytes free on the device. A reboot fixed this and returned me back to 37 MB free. Might be BBM related - I had just reconnected BBM Music (BBCM) and enabled the BeBuzz config again - it was oddly using a lot of CPU time for being unconfigured. I've disabled BeBuzz for now to see if the issue goes away - otehrwise might be BBM Music but...
In short, aside from an application issue on my end.. looks like great battery life, stability. I'm also getting less hangups and pauses, also I've gone longer and longer without rebooting since 706. This build also seems to fix even more bugs with the browser. (Build 706 seems to have greatly improved the browser and fixed bugs - highly recommend). My only other phantom is the ringtones not always working when there's files less than 32 KB nearby on the file list. Seems to make them not play a sound on an event like text messages, bbm etc.

So.... How is this version working? Is it "safe" for us mere mortals to use w/o problems?
:-)

Well, I have been using this version for a little while now. I had a previous comment about a calling issue but that turned out to be a carrier problem and not one with the OS. It has actually been running quite well and I do notice that the battery does last a little longer - not on charger as quickly. The only thing I have noticed is that it seems to eat up allot more internal storage over time and I'm not sure why. I have the same app set as I did on .668 but I have just been noticing that my available storage seems to drop quite quickly. Once I perform all the cleans and reboot, it goes right back up there ... then over time, falls quite a bit again. Other then that, it has been working fine ... just my 2 cents worth ...

No; due to limitations of hardware

In my own opinion it kinda does, I think they allocated little more memory on the browser. It still closes though if the page is very heavy. (From build .666 my browser used to crashed opening my carrier website with only one tab opened)

Just reload the os. Using the app loader make sure you delete the vendor.xml

Yes, maybe you're right - maybe they added a little more memory. The 9300 simply can't load large pages due to hardware limitations. As we see websites getting bigger and bigger and using more and more memory, I fear it's time thinking about upgrading to a new OS7 device...
