How to view messages on memory card

When I go into the memory card on the phone, I can get to the messages but it says unable to display file. The last three letters for the file are cvs. Is there a special program I need to view these?

If it's a CSV (comma separated values) file, then you can view it on your computer with software such as Notepad or Microsoft Excel.
