Hello..
I've got a backup file .. which i did months back.. and now i kinda formatted my phone and lost all my contacts..
how can i get all the contacts.. contacts alone from my old backup file?

get a bb of a friend, make a backup of his data, reload your data on the phone (which you made couple of months ago), teansfer via bluetooth the contacts on your new fone, wipe the bb, upload backup of your friend back on his phone, Easy init?

Plug the phone into the laptop where you did the backup and do a selective restore from within desktop manager and just select contacts

There are some cases wherein Blackberry Desktop Manager does not do the trick and you need to use a backup extractor software that can retrieve the data for you. This is where I recommend Blackberry Backup Extractor, but glad to hear it worked for you his way!
