Has anyone tried this on updating to OS 6?
I'm not successful installing OS 6 on my 9300...tried apploader, and desktop manager, and BBSAK...
The last thing that I haven't tried is the one I read from another site...I'm not sure if it will work with OS6...maybe somebody can confirm this for me....here is the link:
Final guide on how to upgrade to OS 5.0 on Windows 7 without any Internet Service!! - BlackBerry Forums Support Community
of course I'll be using OS 6 not OS 5
please give your feedback...thanks!! - 04-19-2011, 07:16 AM #2
What exactly is the problem you're having? Are you getting an error message of some sort, blank screen, something else?

I have downloaded OS 6...this is the file name: 9300AllLang_PBr6.0.0_rel1965_PL6.6.0.137_A6.0.0.46 1_Telus_Mobility.exe, (this is the firmware/ OS 6 right?) then after I double clicked it ( I assume this is how to install it ), then I go and delete vendor.xml. That's what everyone says...deleter vendor.xml ...
Then I try clicking apploader.exe (loader.exe) it starts but i keep getting this message:
The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator - 04-19-2011, 11:53 AM #4
uninstall that version and try using this one
6.0.0.526
https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...D281241FA66502
do the same install and erease vendor.xml
do a wipe with bbsak
then run loader so you can install version 6
i also recomend doing a shrink so you can have more available memory for apps
using this tool
