Has anyone tried this on updating to OS 6?
I'm not successful installing OS 6 on my 9300...tried apploader, and desktop manager, and BBSAK...
The last thing that I haven't tried is the one I read from another site...I'm not sure if it will work with OS6...maybe somebody can confirm this for me....here is the link:
Final guide on how to upgrade to OS 5.0 on Windows 7 without any Internet Service!! - BlackBerry Forums Support Community
of course I'll be using OS 6 not OS 5
please give your feedback...thanks!!
I have downloaded OS 6...this is the file name: 9300AllLang_PBr6.0.0_rel1965_PL22.214.171.124_A126.96.36.199 1_Telus_Mobility.exe, (this is the firmware/ OS 6 right?) then after I double clicked it ( I assume this is how to install it ), then I go and delete vendor.xml. That's what everyone says...deleter vendor.xml ...
Then I try clicking apploader.exe (loader.exe) it starts but i keep getting this message:
The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator

uninstall that version and try using this one
do the same install and erease vendor.xml
do a wipe with bbsak
then run loader so you can install version 6
i also recomend doing a shrink so you can have more available memory for apps
