Give your carrier a call and have them set you up on a Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) data plan

You need a BIS plan (BB data plan) activated on your phone through your sim card. Once you have done this, you should automatically see the 'personal email' option show up within the email setup. If for any reason it shows up, but when you click on it nothing happens (because i shrinked the email setup out of my os), just go to blackberry.com/integrate from your smartphone. That will get things up and running fairly quickly. If you dont have a data plan and are planning on not getting one, you cannot use the native bb email. Instead, download logicmail from appworld. Its a good 3rd party client, but not as full featured as the native one. Definitely gets the job done though.
