I am getting a new phone in a couple of weeks (its my birthday and my kids are buying it for me).

I don't use a cell phone much, use my playbook for most things.

I want a phone that has voip wifi service so I can use it in combination with a prepaid plan.

How is the Curve with voip? Any good services?

I was considering the LG Optimus as it is $50 cheaper and of course has Skype, and I already have a Skype account.

But I want a BB so I can remotely use the Playbook and use the Bridge feature in future. Not to mention my nephew-in-law works at RIM and I would feel like a traitor not getting a BB.

Please help me.

honestly out of any BB i have every touched, the curve 3g is the worst. In fact, if your only option within the BB pool is the curve 3g, I'd go as far as even saying, look at another platform. That is how bad this phone is.
