Hello,

I have a blackberry curve 9300 and last night I updated the OS to 6. When I click on my crunchSMS 3.36, I get the following message:

"This crunchSMS software was built for BlackBerry OS 4.7 & 5.0, which is not compatible with the BlackBerry OS on this phone. Please install the correct build of crunchSMS.

Please contact help@crunchsms.com if you can't work out the problem.

Version 3.36 for BlackBerry OS 4.7 & 5.0"


I tried following the steps on the FAQ of the crunch SMS website but nothing happened:

"I only want to see messages in crunchSMS, how do I configure that?

For OS 6 and 7, you need to ensure only crunchSMS receives them by doing this: Desktop > Options > Security > Firewall, and tick the "Enable" and "Text Messages" boxes.

Important for MMS, ensure in the Messages app > BB Key > Options > Text Messaging, under the MMS heading set Multimedia Reception to Never and Automatic Retrieval (if possible not all phones allow this to be changed) to Never.

For OS 4 and 5, you need to ensure only crunchSMS receives them by doing this: Desktop > Options > Security Options > Firewall, and tick the "SMS" and "MMS" boxes.

Note: you do have to enable the firewall.

Do you have to downgrade back to OS 5? Everything worked fine then...

did u reinstall crunch sms after the 6.0 upgrade.....if not delete crunch sms and reinstall 6.0 version
