Contacts freezing device
I am about ready to throw my damn blackberry against a wall!!!!
If I try to add a new contact then the whole device freezes and I have to remove the battery to restart it. Doesn't matter if I try and do it in the contacts of via a text/email from a contact that isn't already in my phone.
Hope someone can help!! - 04-11-2012, 08:22 PM #2
Is your device new? Have you never been able to enter contacts, or were you previously able to, and now cannot? If that's the case, what else is changed on your device? A new OS or theme or app? Are you syncing your contacts with GMail or Outlook or some other PIM? What OS version are you using? Who is your carrier?

Fixed the problem by searching the web for similar issues - apparently there were lots of us having the same problems - fix it by uninstalling Windows Live Messenger!

uninstall Live Messenger
Hi I'm a new user and having the same problem, I've tried your suggestion but it didn't work, do you perhaps have any other way? I've tried all the suggestions from other websites too, "reset to factory setting", "upgrade to higher os" twice, "security wipe" 3 times, and more that I don't remember anymore, still big NO. PLEASE

How exactly did you upgrade the OS? I would say if you've already wiped the phone and everything there might be an issue with the phone itself. How much memory and apps do you have? Also do you have any apps left open besides the normal 5(home, browser, messages, BBM, and phone)?

wipe your blackberry and load it with the latest os, refrain from using google apps as they seem to have been causing alot of problems
