    Welcome to Crackberry,

I unticked my 'enable compression' in storage and it worked for me.

Its the single best thing I've known or done to improve performance and stop the spinning clock.

I solved my "Spinning Clock"/Lagging/Battery Drain problem...

How long have you had the 9300 for... it could be full of old files and emails text messages you need to delete or its possible you may have a running app.
It only has 256mb of storage and the processor speed to load apps is a bit slow..

Remove any apps you don't need or use, Remove any old SMS threads, or all of them since you can always start a new conversation again. Remove any old e-mail by highlighting the date, hit menu > delete prior. That's all and it will speed it up and you'll have more space available too.

If that doesn't help, launch desktop manager, plug it in, Hit the menu and select Delete Data... Use the selective delete option, then delete the Trusted Key Store, Content Store. It should then speed it up.

I'm going to try unticking the "enable compression" box. Thank you for posting this.

Can you describe it better and in more detail please?
