Hey mjstrat67! Close unnecessary applications. Uninstall unnecessary applications. Lower the backlight brightness. Download Battery Saver Pro from AppWorld (it works!). If all of that fails, try reloading a newer operating system (It may solve the random rebooting problem). If that still fails, a new battery may be needed.

I don't think anyone has the correct fix for this. I do know if u use BlackBerry protect. It sometimes drains the battery.

Was your battery okay out of the box, did you upgrade it or something? If you did it probably is a software problem, if not then it is a battery problem. BB has a lot of battery problems so brace yourself for a long journey. BB curve 9300 has a lithium ion battery, meaning that you SHOULD NOT over-charge it. Rather ensure that when you get a new battery, that you use it until it says to charge it and then ONLY charge it until the battery is full. Many people say charge for 8 hours but that really isn't true- THESE ARE NEW TYPES OF BATTERIES.

Hope this helps.
