Angry After updating to bundle 3049, cannot activate my emails..

When I enter the correct password, I get a message that says:

"Sorry, unable to continue youe session. Please log in again."

WTF is this?

I've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure it out.

Any ideas?

call your service provider they may have to reset some of your settings from their end.

Called Sprint, they spent 30 min on the phone with me and eventually ruled that it's a problem with Blackberry's servers and recommended waiting 1-2 days.

Still nothing. I've been checking Blackberry's support forums and nothing.

Any ideas?

I was getting no help from Blackberry, and no help from Sprint.

Got fed up of this whole mess and finally clicked on the "downgrade" icon on the OS version page that showed the new update and it went through the process. Somewhere in the middle of the night, it decided to brick itself. It would go to start up and ended up in a contant white screen loop with a timer..

Went looking for a solution and found this:

How to Reload the Operating System on a Nuked or Bricked BlackBerry | CrackBerry.com

Phone went through a complete wipe and resinstall of the OS and it's now running the new OS 6.0 bundle 3049 from 11/28/2011.

About to do a complete backup of all my data and contacts and I should be back to where I was before just as if this whole scenario never happened.

Down side is that I have to reinstall a few of the apps that were deleted.

No big deal.

This solved it for me, good luck.

I upgraded the desktop software to 6.0 Bundle 3049.



Had to redo all logins and password for my various accounts.



Was unable to validate or verify my email addresses via the mobile.



However via some looking around the web found some instructions that work:



on your mobile phone http://mobile.blackberry.com

Select your country of choice, then go to Communicate>Email. Scroll down to Other Personal Email and click on Integrate Now, then Launch Email Setup.



You should be able to integrate your e-mail accounts that way until RIM has fixed the issue.

I joined the forums just to say thanks, this email issue was driving me nuts and your instructions did the trick. I viewed every menu option on my berry and then some, and no luck. Until I found this thread with a google search.

Default This is apparently still an issue

This is apparently still an issue. I just got the upodate 2 days ago. I was having the same issue with reactivating my email. If it wasn;t for this forum I never would have gotten it to work. This extra step that is not documented anywhere should not be necessary. Thanks again for always having the answers I need.

That was a cracker of a tip! I've been without email for a year! My service providers seemed totally unable to fix it. This tip fixed it in less than aminute!
