Default Absolute bargain on a 9300

As an existing Virgin Media customer in the UK, i just got a new 9300 for £7.99 a month for all BB services unlimited and 500mb mobile data.

Only really wanted a bb to use for the endless emails i do and to play with bridge on my playbook. Anyone in my situation should really take a look at Virgin, it's almost too cheap not to have as a second device :-)

Hi

Would you mind sharing how you managed to get the 9300 for £7.99 a month?

I'm also a Virgin Media customer and have been looking at their Blackberry deals, however the cheapest tariff listed on their website for the 9300 is £10.99.

Thanks

If you have their XL home phone service you get it for £7.99

However, i don't. I went into a store and the only contract that the computer would recognise the 9300 on was the £7.99 and not the £10.99 :-)

My advice, go into a virgin media store

Is that on a 24 month contract? I didn't want a 24 month contract so have just gone for the £10.99 sim only rolling monthly deal. All you get as an existing Virgin customer are more text, internet and unlimited Blackberry messaging.

I bought a 4 month old very good condition sim free 9300 from ebay for £80 including postage which I thought was OK.

Yeah new 24 month contract. Seeing as its only going to cost £184 for the duration of the contract i wasn't too fussed. It's going to become my main calling/texting/emailing contract anyway hence getting a BB. Galaxy Nexus is for playtime
