Default 9300 Trackpad clicks but wont scroll after new trackpad?

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with my 9300 please. The trackpad stopped working (Click and scroll), I opened the phone to realise the ribbon cable of the trackpad was ripped (I don't know how) so I bought a new trackpad. I installed the new trackpad this morning, I'm sure it's installed correctly and now the click on the trackpad works but I can't seem to get any scroll? Does anyone know what the problem is, I have updated/restored it so it can't be that.

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

    Hi,

I have a new Trackpad sitting infront of me.

Just ensure the ribbon cable is *fully* into the connector. Also ensure there is no grime, etc, and that you have a clean connection.

Can you get us some pictures?

    All the best!

The trackpad is fully in the connector and it's 100% a good connection. I'm sure it has to be a good connection as the click is working yet the scroll is not?:S

There should be a protective film on the trackpad which needs to be removed?

If you mean on the top of the trackpad where I click and sroll, then yes I removed that sticky paper that was on there, if on the bottom, there was no protective film?
