I have the strong impression that WiFi is weak on the Classic. I have a weaker signal compared to Passport. Moreover, the signal is constantly getting lost and the phone switches to cellular data which drains also the battery by re trying to connect to the WiFi periodically. I am running the latest official version 10.3.2.2836. Anyone else observed this issue?

While I was browsing through the Great Apps for BlackBerry section on BlackBerry World, I came across this.

Check out Wi-Fi Monitor in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59953368

Maybe that will help your situation?
And to answer your question, I find the wifi is equal to that of my old Q10.
I also find that I have better connection strength if i'm connected to a wifi router on the 5G band, rather than 2.4G

Thanks for the hint. I assume that this is a firmware issue since when the signal gets lost and I manually re-connect the signal strength is as expected.
