Hello everyone. I'm having a problem and haven't been able to fix it. I'm trying to use the default search engine, which is the Verizon Bing search - but it doesn't work. It takes me to a Bing page with an error. If I go to Bing.com then I can search just fine. I tried to manually add Bing.com as a search engine but for some reason it doesn't work with Bing. I tried the Bing homepage and also a page after I've already done a search. Neither one works (I tested it out on other sites like Wikipedia and the Add Search option shows up). I'm not looking to use a different search engine.

    Help?

Mine started doing that also a couple days ago. Bing probably changed something. This problem started before Verizon pushed the update, by the way, so not related.

Try opening your browser, accessing your Menu select 'Settings' go to 'Display and Actions' then select 'Reset Search Engines'... See if that gets it going... (Perhaps restart your device or clear your browser stuffs as well for good measure!) I have T-Mobile and a Classic SQC100-4/10.3.2.798 while I do not use Bing (DuckDuckGo kinda girl here) I was curious and ran a search... No errors nor issues...

Mine started about 4 days ago or so and is a little annoying. Have no idea how to fix it and right now am going into the "error " screens page and enlarging it and tapping on the "web" in the upper right hand corner to open the item.
Who knows when this will be fixed but is very annoying. And resetting the search engines produced no results.

This is about Verizon/Bing. Of course there are other search engines.

Just spreading the good word about duckduckgo. If you like being tracked I guess bing or Google are the way to go.

Here's what I did which, imo, isn't too bad. Open browser, settings, display and actions. "On start up show" choose my home page. In the space below, use Google.com. when you tap the browser icon, it opens a Google search page. Avoids Bing altogether.

I've also been experiencing this issue since I've had this smartphone - I also have a BlackBerry Classic on Verizon. Haven't found a way to add Bing as a search engine to the built-in BB10 browser. So strange.

At least bing pays me to be tracked unlike google. I've earned so much money using bing rewards it's awesome, lol.

It's weird that this problem seems to only happen to Verizon. I'm on AT&T and it works fine for me.

    Woohoo! :-D

You know I don't actually "use" it right? I do some random search every day and just click on the "related" searches until I've made the quota to earn the points. So whatever profile they have on me is really really messed up, lol. :-P

I think the website Bing was having problems before, it appears to be working now - is anyone still having these issues?

To be clear, that's the bing/vzwsearch specifically, not the generic bing page.

Mine is still acting up as it has been for about a week and half having done soft reboots, calling Verizon who said that have no idea what could be the problem but went into my phone from their end doing a shutdown and such but to no avail.
Maybe this is a Verizon Classic problem. Who knows
