[CrackBerry Question]

Last night while trying to charge my Blackberry Classic, a notice came up saying that there was a Surge and that the USB port has been shut down to protect the device and so on. I unplugged it and tried a different charger and nothing happened. Wouldn't charge. I tried to plug it into my computer, no charge, no connection. I tried restarting the phone, which allowed it to charge, but once unplugged, it wouldn't recognize the connection anymore. I tried a factory reset, still no change. I'm assuming at this point that it is a software issue and needs to be repaired, but I was just wondering if anyone else had any ideas or suggestions on what to do.
