Yeah I just got mine from verizon wireless online a week or so ago. It was back ordered for Monday the Friday I was going to order- then on that Monday just "out of stock" till Tuesday was back ordered for then the following Friday so I ordered- it shipped next day however.

When the z30 came into stock last year the inventory was at 3100-odd z30s. I imagine they had at least that amount for consumers. I believe that they allocate some of each shipment to business and some to consumers, and it is possible they just reallocated the classics from consumer to business because they ran low on the business side.

One thing that goes to show it at least should be a decent number sold is that verizon models are their own batch- or atleast a bigger offset with the different radio, software and qi charge ability- so the initial amount is most likely more than say the at&t variant that is only a small branding and software change from the main large GSM unlocked batch.

There was a reason for all the uproar of them changing their hardware construction vendor a year or whatever ago- from what I gathered from "in between the lines" etc. Was they had an older agreement that basically meant first run didn't meet the black or green - with the demand for BlackBerry as high as it was this agreement was most likely agreeable for the manufacturer and BlackBerry - as the manufacturer would charge more for later runs and BlackBerry had higher agility to get the initial run made and out... however with the now lessend demand I am sure whatever manufacturing contract they have the first run will mark a profit for the manufacture and break even for BlackBerry - and reorders are all in the green for both, but you loose agility and BlackBerry has a higher initial risk.
