Makes using spacebar to page rather useless in emails.

I am using a Q10 and it doesn't scroll too much, it just scrolls until it brings the unread parts to the very top

No, I'm referring to when inside of an open email.

Regardless, even in the email list, N is not a work around for paging down.

Doesn't your trackpad work? On my passport, I just stroke the keyboard like a furry *****....cat.

The space bar is used for "page down" not slowly scrolling. Even though I completely understand your issue (which I somewhat agree with) on legacy devices it does the same thing. I never really found it an issue if you have the track pad or even the touch screen to slowly scroll.

I feel they have reduced the travel when you push the spacebar in 10.3.2, both on my Q10 and Classic. So they have fixed the problem!

And set down my briefcase? Why not just buy an iDroid to begin with?

Back on topic... 10.3.2 didn't fix it on mine. Of course it's an old malady. I just got used to thumb on trackpad long ago. Shouldn't have to but... It's at least a single handed option.

I've not tried fonts... Still default on mine. Might give it a try.

No joy with fonts... Go figure. Some variation depending on email content. I started using "ShopCrackberry deal of the day" as a standard to compare. My Classic, 10.3.2.556 overscrolls about 20%. Interestingly, length of time the spacebar is pressed seems to have no influence. One page (+20%) for each press.

Spacebar scroll on 9900 will continue if continued press. Too fast, IMO. Very quick press on 9900 results in perfect, next line, page scroll, tho. Just gotta be very quick.

So far, no joy on Classic. Maybe some OS version later than .556 ??

Brief case in one hand, Passport in other hand, super easy to use the screen to scroll. Are you sure you're okay? Maybe your hands child like in size? My hands are average sized and I have no problem using the screen to scroll whilst holding something in my other hand, which is also average.

We don't want to touch the screen.

Other than a little arthritis, my hands are fine. Thank you for your concern. I also single hand my Passport. I single hand my Z30. It CAN be done. I use my thumb to scroll. I have no clue about your anatomy but my FINGER doesn't comfortably reach the screen in the same hand. Not saying it's impossible. Just saying it's not comfortable. That's why we have Classics instead of iDroids.

I usually use trackpad for scrolling but if the spacebar scroll is to be implemented, it should be done right. It clearly hasn't been and some of us are attempting to collaborate in effort to discover a possible OS update that fixes it. "finger on touchscreen" comments seem off topic and unhelpful to the op, IMO.
