Sold my classic via kijiji today for $400 CAD. I have since ordered a red blackberry passport, but while I'm waiting I have my good old q10 to use.

In comparison to my classic, I'm not gonna lie I prefer my q10. It just feels so right. It feels like such a powerful phone in such a small package. I type better in the q10, don't know why. At first I thought I preferred the grippy back of the classic, but after going back to the q10 I do much prefer the texture of the glass weave. One more noticeable difference is the weight. The q10 is much lighter. I used to like heavy phones cause they didn't feel as cheap but I dunno!! I still feel like the q10 is the perfect sized phone. I sound like I'm contradicting myself because I just ordered a passport, but that things just a beast it does everything totally different. This phone is definitely a great backup phone! Still loving the q10!

Sold the Classic yesterday, too.(because of the size, quality issues, non removable battery) I dont know if I will try the Passport, maybe just for fun. For the next few months the Q10 will be just fine!!

To each their own for sure. Having owned both, I feel the classic is superior to the Q10 in almost every way. Ok I understand the weight and the removable back are factors but the toolbelt, the bigger screen, the bigger keys, and the build far outweighs those things to me. Ultimately I needed some more screen real estate with the Q10. I'm happy w the classics screen.

Curious on your thoughts with the passport. I feel like I have the perfect phone with the classic but I too hear the passport calling me. It's those specs that are awfully tempting. I know I would not get along well with the size of it but I am curious none the less

I first owned a Q10 and now I have the Passport. I love my Q10 for similar reasons mentioned. I used to have a couple of Curves and the Q10 took me back to those days. It is a great phone. However, now that I have had my Passport for a few months, I just laugh every time I pick up my Q10. I don't understand how I got along with such a tiny screen and I could never go back to that size screen. The size of the Passport is a little bit of an issue at times; I wish that they would make one with a 4" screen instead of 4.5". I love it though and I would recommend it to anyone who uses their phone for work and web browsing and doesn't need the smaller size for things such as working out.

A 4 inch (1440 x 1440) classic with beefier specs and toolbelt might be the perfect phone for me. The trackpad would make up for the awkward one handed use in my opinion.

Not saying there's anything wrong with the current passport, just have reservations about that 3 row kb / onscreen thing. I would prob have one if VZ carried it.

I had 2 Q10s and I sold my last to buy Classic. I do not have any regrets for doing that

I agree. Returned the Classic and bought a new Q10. It's more solidly built despite being so lightweight in comparison. And I'm a better typer on the Q10 as well.

I too have sold my Classic and gone back to my Q10/Z30 combo. I don't think Classic comes close to Q10's form factor. I also found the Trackpad more of a nuisance than benefit (got in the way of the normal thumb swipe up all the time)!

I also bought a Passport this week. I kinda like it, and am now debating whether it should replace my Z30 as the device to use at home on wifi. Q10 will continue to be my daily driver when I leave the house.

I got the same combo and think about to replace my Z30 with the Passport....but the Z30 is a nice mini tablet. Dont know if the Passport is good enough to watch YT etc.

The Z30 is truly one of the best overall BB10 devices (if not the best!). I will need 2-3 weeks with the Passport to see if it will replace my Z30 as the primary device to use at home on wifi. I will let you know how it goes.

I definitely prefer my old Q10 over the Classic (I also find the Classic seems very heavy for it's size - and 'top heavy' when typing).....

Good luck with your Passport! I walked out of the shop wondering if I'd made a terrible mistake in buying the Passport, but within 3 hours of starting to use it was hooked - still am!

It will. Better screen, way faster, longer battery life, you'll get used to the keyboard in a couple of days. Z30 is nice but no way I'd go back to it from the Passport!

I have both and I have to recognise that q10 has better build quality, and it's handle is even better...but, size screen and battery life goes to classic...also browsing it's lot better in classic.
Pd: I really type so much faster in q10.

I had touch phones for some years.. and since i have the Classic... I rarely touch my screen. I always use or the keyboard or the trackpad.

Something I've noticed amongst BlackBerry folks and non BlackBerry folks alike, is the downplay of the classic's touchscreen. The touch screen is the bomb AND we get a qwerty...it's an awesome phone! Best of both worlds!!!

Q5 has got a nicer screen and keyboard than the Q10. I don't regret selling my Q10 one bit.

I agree that the Q10 is definitely lighter and a pleasure to use and hold! The Classic is great in other ways but it's too heavy.
