Been using my 1.8 bb playbook charger and it seems the classic is taking about 3 hours to fully charge, during this time I am using the phone a bit.

I know my q10 would charge a lot quicker. It's this normal charge time for the classic??

That definitely sounds like its taking too long. Have you tried using the charger that came with the Classic?

Potentially try charging your classic from 0-100% with the playbook charger, and then again with the Classic charger.

The Classic charger should take an hour to an hour and a half. The playbook charger should normally be a little less than that, but using the charger that came with the device should actually let the classic hold a charge longer as well.

Your device might be limiting the charging to 1A, more or less. On my Z30's 850mA charger, it takes about 4 hours to charge the device from 0 to 100. Then I used a 2.4A charger, which theoretically would charge the device to full for only 1.44 hours but no, it took almost 3 hours. Meanwhile, charging an ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser using my 2.4A charger took just 1 hour and 30 minutes from 0 to a 100.

I was under the impression the playbook charger would charge quicker than the charger the phone came with, I know this was the case with the q10. I'll try the classic charge next charge.

The classic charger is so short you can't even use the device while it is charging?

I mean isn't the playbook charger supposed to charge the phone faster?

Not sure will it say on the plug? I'm using the classic plug but the q10 usb cable as the classic one is so short.

I'm 8 min shy of 2.5hrs and at 85% I put it on charge at 0%

I'm ten minutes away from 3 hours and at 97% so a full charge is just under 3 hours approx it seems. I did use the phone a bit during charge if that makes a difference, text and whatsapp.

So is 3 hours normal?

That still seems too long. My passport charges in an hour and a half if i remember correctly. You may have to get it checked. I can't test it for you myself, since I don't own a classic, BUT i can try charging my passport from 0-100 with my playbook charger and give you a better idea?
