Started a security wipe on a Classic and it got to 75% in about 45 minutes. Now it's at 98% and it's about 24 hours since it started.
Can I do a reload of the OS? Any ideas? Obviously the wipe feature isn't working properly.
There is no SIM or SD card in the phone.

Just unplug it and reboot, see if it's actually done or just stuck. Worst case, you can run an autoloader on it. - http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...rchive-943672/

Thanks for the reply....so here's what happened for future reference.
I tried turning it off by holding the power button 10 seconds. On reboot the wipe started again.
So I shut it down again. On the second reboot a warning icon appeared with the following website: www bberror com/bb10-0015

In the meantime I tried the autoloader as you suggested, but I couldn't get the computer to recognize the device.
After a few more of the same (power button strategy) I tried with link and finally got the device recognized and link is re installing as I type.
No doubt the autoloader would have worked as well, other than the device recognition issue...need a new and faster laptop I guess.

BTW, this wiping issue turns up a few times in Google search. Hope they fix that...not fun.

If you're just wiping your phone using an autoloader is quicker than using security wipe and it doesn't give you all the issues that the security wipe does.
