In some comments of an article I read that the back of the Z10, which seems to be similar to the one of the Classic, peeled off after one year and wasn`t in a good condition anymore. Do we have to expect the same with the Classic?

I`m just worried because I want a phone with great material quality for that price.

The Z10 I have has a plastic back. No chance of peeling.

Hmmmm ... I never had that problem with my Z10. But then my Z10 spent most of its life in a case. Hopefully if it was a problem with some devices they'll have a more durable formula for the Classic.

Z10 has a rubberized coating on top of plastic. I'm looking at mine right now and the dents that I've put in it. Doesn't look like it will peel though.

I had a z10 and yes the rubber at the back start getting off after some months of use. But it is not very noticeable though.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist, that would bother me to no end. My Q10 has the glass weave back and has never had a problem since I got it. Even scratches seem to disappear...

I'd rather not, but if she rubbed mine, I'd consider it.

Had my Z10 since launch in Canada - the back is in great shape still and I love the rubbery feel. I was really hoping for that backing on the Classic, and excited to see that it may be true!

My z10 has the rubberized back. Great for grip but on the corners it is wearing. One part I can see the plastic underneath.

I would be fine with rubber back maybe less chance of slipping out of hand .I had a 9810 slider with slippery back and replaced it with 9800 rubber back and had less chance of slipping .
