What's the proper way to hold the Classic when on a call? Do you press the glass against the face? Or do you just hold an edge (top or side) against the face? I find if I just hold an edge against my face, it reduces the chances of face dialing/face muting, which I've done recently on some important calls. And yes, the proximity sensor still works!

This isn't an apple phone! No one will get mad at you for holding it wrong and trying to make a call

I guess I hold mine flat against my face. I've never really paid much attention to it.
but, after your call begins to dial, you can press the power button on top of the phone to shut the screen off. You shouldn't be able to push buttons on the screen any more.

I'm going to try that "power off" trick - I have to hold the bottom away from my face on a call because my (fat) cheeks keep pressing buttons and muting calls - I assumed that the proximity sensor was busted, but maybe this is just a "feature" of how the phone works.

Well, to his credit, he asked the same question for different phones (Classic/Passport).
Although, obviously, it's much easier to hold the Classic when compared with the Passport.

I use a bluetooth headset. I can work while talking and it doesn't leave smudges.
