Classic, running stock os. I have an issue where when I receive a text, I am not notified through the cars bluetooth (ford mytouch). I get the today message and audio (music) and phone calls work fine. Just not getting any notification of a new text. Don't see anything in the settings on the phone or in the car that is off or should affect it. Anyone have a similar issue or know how to resolve this?

When you first pair the device, there is a dialog asking if you want to give your vehicle access to your text messages. Any chance you declined this?

You can check this by going into Bluetooth settings, then Configure.

Hmmm. I don't recall seeing this option when I paired my Classic to my VW

Passport and 2013 Escape owner here, and let's face it MyFordToch sucks period. I cant even get it to download my phonebook and hence can't call BlackBerry assistant.

Cant argue about myford touch. Luckily, I can call assistant in 2014 escape. So, they must have made some progress!

And yes, I did choose to give access to everything when I paired. Shows all the access on the lock screen. Guess I'll try to unfair and repair again.
