So I just received my bb classic....and straight out of the box, it gives me the red angry battery icon and then the bb10-0020 error for corrupt/non-functioning battery. I would take out the battery, except it's a non-removable battery in the classic. And I am reaching out for a solution from the seller, but while I wait, are there any tips to fix my issue?

Any suggestions are welcome and very much appreciated...! Thank you!

Have you tried charging it. If you have, search this forum for stack charging. Might work.

this happened to me. what you have to do is connect the phone to link but you have to turn off the phone whilst it shows the blackberry logo then put the cable in the go to link and factory reset it that's the only way.

Firstly, using your computer with BlackBerry Link installed, connect your BlackBerry Classic using the USB cable. See if Link can recognize your device. The other posts are referring to some kind of trick where you connect your phone to your computer, if you see the BlackBerry logo, turn your phone off while it is displaying that BlackBerry logo. Then, using Link, reload the OS. I'm not really sure if I got that right, but just see if Link recognizes your device first.

My Classic with the same error absolutely refused to connect to BlackBerry Link no matter what combination of plugging in and out I used, or what timing I did to plug it in or out. It's now at a Mobilifix store seeing if they can do anything about It or not.
