    When a call comes in shows a music note and makes no sound the sound works on the phone but the ringer shows mute not a sound on incoming calls help

    You didn't happen to set specific tones for certain Contacts? And thus the test call is failing due to this?

    Also restart the device and test again...

    In case you didn't know, you can take a screen shot from your device by pressing the volume up and volume down keys at the same time...

    Curious, have you tried switching the ringtone? Have you rebooted the device? (Press and hold the volume up and volume down keys at the same time until it powers off and reboots.) Have you updated the software? The device probably performed the 'mandatory' OS install once unboxed, but in case it didn't, see if there is a software update available... just getting the basics handled first...

    Did not asign any ring tones even numbers not in contacts I get a music note with a bar thru it in a circle

    All software is up to date will try a reboot but had to switch out phone because she had to go to work I have the phone

    Hi , didnt want to start a new thread this is the closest to my issue tks

    Suddenly my Classic stops making sound, notifications are set , no sound on text phone email. I did a factory reset several times , still same issue
    I used BVE and no sound on the Speaker test , I took it to a BB repair guy here told me it was not the speaker but a software issue. Again did the re-load of the Software and the reset . Today I noticed on an incoming call the musical note with a slash through it , settings are still good but no sound
