I'm curious, would you use a BlackBerry Classic, that had a screen size of a Priv, Passport or at least 5.5 - 5.7?

Nope. I see the Classic as a phone for those who prefer one handed use. That is the attraction for me. One day I'll get one.

If the screen size was that of prev or passport it would be one tall Mother with the pkb on bottom and if you wanted one size of passport -buy Passport ?

I think of BlackBerry as lean and efficient. To me the passport and a phone of that form factor don't necessarily adhere to those tenants.

My Classic is TOO large already. Of course I have ready access to a 100" smart TV to Miracast into for the few times each month that Classic isn't large enough image. Lol. Learn & use Trackpad & toolbelt and you might find screen size to be irrelevant to real world use. Track nav tames all screens, small AND large.

Really? Why would you want that in view of the other Blackberry phones already on the market? Maybe the Priv with BBOS 10?

Only change I'd want is the trackpad to be backlit like the rest. The 9900 had that.

They call that phone the Venice

I think we all want a smaller phone like the 9900.

I'm quite happy with the size of the Classic as is. Now, having said that, the Passport is quite perfect for other things that I might need a larger screen for, like spreadsheets and reading PDFs.

If the classic keep the same screen but less wider without borders it would be perfect for one hand typing. 2 or 3 mm less wide

I second the 9900 vote... It was the perfect, one handed size...

Going on 7 weeks since the Priv and 1 year since the Classic was launched. It took me forever to get use the Classic coming from the 9900. The same thing happen with the Priv. After switching SIM cards back and forth. My opinion is the 9900 is hard to beat as a work phone. It is nice and small and very light with the typing superior that anything out there. The Classic is a very nice phone but it is just to heavy and a little to big for me. I have put my Classic in the drawer and use the Priv as my secondary phone.

I'd love to have a big screen Classic. It would be like my Passport but with a toolbelt. I really like having a square screen.

I don't think having a 16:9 screen makes sense. It makes everything look too narrow. I think 16:9 phones were made solely for the consumption of 16:9 videos. Most phones are made that way because they want to push their media onto people. They're made as media consumption devices, not tools.

The real product of Samsung and Apple is not the phones but the phone users. Samsung and Apple deliver millions of consumers to content producers.

Yeah the 16:9 format seems more just for media consumption, although when I think about it, why aren't images also expanded vertically as well? Passport takes advantage of maximizing screen size both horizontally and vertically, which is great.
