Is it possible to holding down, let's says, the 'A' key and swiping up or down with the trackpad to get country specific letters or symbols?

This was possible in 9900. So I would like to know how it is in Classic.

To get international characters, you press and hold the letter. Then a popup row will appear just above the toolbelt with all the different characters.

Edit: letter with trackpad does not work, I tried.

Thanks for the answer. Well, so there is no difference between Q10 and Classic in this area.

Sad, that the functionality of Classic's trackpad is not the same as on legacy devices.

Yep, in legacy devices the popup does not happen like in BB10, that was how you would get those characters. Would be nice for this to be brought back to the Classic.

That was also something my friend told me at that time..

I guess that legacy devices could much more than what you and me ever find out

These small, but smart features make BlackBerry, to BlackBerry.. and the lack of these is probably why legacy users don't like BlackBerry 10.
