Hi All,

I just put my almost new ATT classic into use last night and the battery is draining fast.

I has OS 10.3.2.2252 on it. Is there a better OS than this for battery drain?

I have my ATT Passport which is great and wanted this as a back up and traded this for my Z30

Why don't you look at your device monitor? No you can't do anything for os version.

Autoloading Patience would be cool, if not you can always sideload a patched version.

OP - did you install the OS, or was it already on the device? If it was already installed and the device had been used by the previous owner, it should already be settled in.

Since you just got it and probably/may not have done much set up yet, you may want to use an autoloader to perform a clean reinstall of the OS - either 2252, or 2339.

How are things now? It generally takes 2-3 days for new device with new OS to settle down. You have various autoloader otherwise.
I have not so bad experience with 10.3.2.2226 but others have recommended otherwise.

My unlocked Classic was fine out of box however I would take some time to check all the settings and delete what you don't need .Battery life on mine is still great .

It was from another CB member I also noticed that in BBM there is no Trash Can to delete a conversations and the Same with Text Messages when I got my Passport.

I reloaded the OS and it was good then with the missing trash cans

Just highlight the conversation in the Hub and hit the delete key.

Relax. BB10 takes a few days to sync and settle down whenever you start using an OS fresh. Give it 3-4 days, and battery life should be much better.

Congratulations on the new Classic! I just got mine a few days ago too, and the battery drained fast the first day. This was because it was uploading the hundreds of emails from my three accounts, reading the media card of its hundreds of photos, and indexing the thousands of text messages from my previous device. It took me about four hours to set up everything, and then I let it sit overnight..in the morning it was ready!

Yesterday I took the phone off the charger at around 630am and the Classic was still at about 48% battery when I went to bed around 11pm. The battery is definitely "settled in"!

its settling in now its a nice phone and love the real keyboards
