Actually I'm pretty surprised there are so much negative comments about Fallon in this thread, unless it's a emotional response to his joke (attack) on BB.
IMO Fallon is talented and funny and judging by the overall response, The Tonight Show seems to be in good hands. I also liked Coco, but the ratings did him in. Ultimately that's what counts.
I don't care if he likes Apple products or dislikes BlackBerrys. I'm no sheep. No emotional connection to a tool. I use what I like regardless of its popularity.

His ratings were a direct result of having a deadly nightly prime.....5 nights a week....that many affiliates complained was causing them to lose viewers of their 11pm news (and some refused to show) and subsequently lose viewers to the show that came after their nightly news: Conan.

What was that deadly show 5 nights a week that was the direct lead-in to the local news and then Conan? You guessed it: JAY LENO. Oh the irony of Jay Leno sabotaging his own network and his own successor so they'd ironically use him to replace that successor (after announcing his retirement 5 years earlier).
