Hello everyone,
I have been using Classic for close to a year now. There is one peculiar problem which i have never been able to sort out.
Whenever i try to "Restart" or switch off the phone - it just doesnt happen. It gets frozen on the start screen where it say BB Classic.
After trying pressing the power button for 5-10mins, then sometimes i get a success. Else it has become dreadful to even think of restarting or switching off the phone.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Thank you

No. I hvnt done any reinstalling.

Sounds like some kind of FW corruption. Backup your files, SMS etc to your SD card. Then connect your phone to BlackBerry Link, and as soon as Link sees the handset, select the 'reload device software' option.

Make sure you've backed up your files first! This will erase everything including apps and settings.

Others will disagree, but I would recommend not using Link backups after this kind of restore, and turning OFF the software updates in settings on your phone.

My experience of BlackBerry10 is that it works best (stability, battery life) when installed from an external image i.e. via Link or an Autoloader. Most of the software bugs I've encountered have been after the thing has updated itself using the 'Over The Air' process.

Tried the Link reload software... and the issue seems to be present!!!
