Hi guys, I would just like to ask for your opinion. People say that the target market of the BlackBerry Classic is for those who are still using their 9900 or other legacy device. How able the existing BB10 users? Will you switch to Classic as your daily driver?

There is zero chance I would switch to this device. I own a Passport and a Z10. If Passport didn't exist I'd stick with Z10 and not give classic a second look.

I am happy with Z30 and would not switch to classic. I never had physical keyboard phone. Rather I would wait for better model than Z30.

Some people says that once you go BlackBerry 10 OS it's BB10 all the way. So they won't go back to trackpad and stuff. I am sharing the same struggle though coz I really miss the fast efficient way of messaging. But with the specs of classic, specifically battery life, I think Z30 still is for me.

At first, before the Classic or the Passport got even released, I decided to get a Classic. However once the Passport got launched, the Classic got delayed and it got more and more obvious the rumours regarding the Z30 were wrong, I just hit the "buy" button and ordered a Passport.
Lately I was thinking about selling it again to get a Passport, mostly due to the traditional 4-row keyboard, but also because of the more compact size. Yet I decided against it, I think the financial loss is too big and I don't want to support BlackBerry pricing strategy with the Classic.

went from Q10 to Passport to Q10 to Classic. Not sure if it will replace my Q10 yet though. The Q10 is such a small and light device, I really like it.

Got mine yesterday. Pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Moved from Q10.

So my current combo is Classic / Z30.

So the absence of backlight for the blank key on your PP doesn't annoy you, but the lack of backlight on the Classic's trackpad does? That makes no sense to me. It is much easier to miss the PP's blank key's sweet spot in the dark than missing the trackpad on the Classic. I recommend to reconsider that.

Oops, my bad. Didn't realize that there was only one way to answer the OP's question.

Let me rephrase my original response.

Yes! I'm totally going to go backwards to a device that was only released for cranky resistors to technology and change. Sign me up for the newsletter too!!

Considering the specs, I will not buy the classic. I find BB10 doesn't need a toolbelt and it's a step back specs wise. Only thing that's drawing me towards it is the bigger brighter screen and titanium rounded body (shmexy). But that's not worth $450 especially after I paid $700 for the Z10 at launch and 550 for my current Q10.

Remove the toolbelt, give it a 4.2" 16:9 screen with passport specs and ill hand over my credit card.

Don't get me wrong though, I do support BlackBerry's decision with the device to draw legacy and 9900 owners. Wish the device the best but it's just not for me.

I love my Q10 I love the size and everything! I'd have to feel the classic in my hand to make a decision and see if the trackpad is worth the change. Until that happens I'll stick with my Q10!

IMHO, the Classic reintroduces UI paradigms that have no place in a modern smartphone UI.
Meanwhile, I'm really happy with how they've used the touch-sensitive keyboard area on the Passport.

So for me, it was: Z10 -> Z30 -> Passport

My next device will depend on what's launched in 2015, but it definitely won't be the Classic.
