I just upgraded to the Classic. Before I was using BlackBerry 7 OS, I remember having the same issue when I got that phone.

Problem is it uses data (which is being charged). I disabled data services but I lost over 4 euros during the night.

Everything was off. No apps were runing and location services was off.

Am I missing something?

Drag from the top of the screen downward with two fingers and go to the Data management menu, then turn Data services off.
