For me, it would be nice and more classy if there's a metal line which is very distinctive and trademark at the back of this phone like the Bold series and Q10 devices have.

I'm definitely one of them! Leather or something similar to 9900 would be much better than this dimpled, boring look.

While I love the grip that my Z10 provides, the back-cover is plain boring for a flag-ship. Nothing about it exudes premium look. I hope they change it in final iteration of classic.

I sure hope so. That looks like the back of a Q5 or a Q10 with the OEM soft shell on it. It looks "okay" but that's it. The carbon weave stuff looks and feels nice, so I really hope they go with something like that.

I think the classic will have a removable battery but much like the Z10, the whole back cover will pop off. Let's hope that the hardware isn't final and they release the phone with a more premium back design.

Don't worry everyone! The pricing will be what is expected so Mr Chen won't skimp out on a quality backing. I am sure the top of the lines new BlackBerry's will be total quality enough to justify the day one price! Would be nice to please everyone and in the box will be 2 or 3 choices of backing to please everyone. I would really like a holster back in the box myself as I had to buy a couple for mine (one is a back up, just in case), I would also like to see a quicker charger than a 750 or 850 as the batteries today have more capacity.

Can't remember where I heard it, but the line on the back of the Q10 was put there to keep the camera slightly elevated so as not to get scratched on a table.

While the Classic looks nice, I certainly wouldn't trade in my Q10 for it. I don't think I need the trackpad, but if it can push BlackBerry over 10 million phones per year, I'm all for it.

Yep, I heard the same thing about the line across the back of the bold. Too many moons ago to remember where but it does serve that function. One in my office thinks it contributes to speaker acoustics when flat on a table...??

The back of your phone is much of what coworkers, customers, vendors, management, regulators, etc see from across the table. Good for brand recognition if the device is as distinctive as the productivity of the person holding it.
