Hey all.....long time lurker here and dying to get my hands on the Verizon version of the Classic but that seems like an awful long wait ahead of me, so my question is this....If I purchased from Amazon or wherever, how in the world do I get the thing activated? Do I simply walk into an at&t store, purchase the nano sim and pick a plan? I apologize in advance if this question has been asked already.

If you already have any GSM carrier plan then all you need to have nano sim card and pop it in. Voila! Now, if need plan then you should do research which works better for your money.

Yes, you can order an unlocked classic on amazon or from blackberry

go to AT&T and just get them to set you up on pay as you go or a monthly plan without a contract as you already have a phone.

They will provide the simcard and help you set it all up in the store.

Super easy to do.
