Maybe when you get out of the car turn off BT?
I dunno. I leave mine on all day and I don't see that drain. But I'm on a Z30 and not a Classic

I've switched off bt now it's better.

But it is not normal that bt drains the battery so much. Hope that this will be fixed with the next update.

Wifi, Blutooth and any "streaming" apps drain any battery the most. I try to turn my blutooth off when I think about it. Same with the wifi, I only turn my wifi on if I'm at home, or at a place that has a wifi connection that I sitting at bored. Only other time I could think to turn it on is if I need to receive a call or text and can't get a cell signal but Im near a wifi signal instead..

Just curious, is your device in discoverable mode when BT is turned on?

I keep mine in discoverable mode when BT is on..makes it kinda pointless to have it off, if hopping in and out of a car or using a BT earpiece on a regular. I use my BT for both of those things on a regular!

Same with my z10, I leave it on all the time and it makes no difference in my battery. Currently using 10.3.1.2072.

    Shows 0.07% in device manager

For some reason I remember my battery draining while using BT on the first few days I got my phone. Now it is fine and I use BT on a daily basis and always leave it on. I also recall the phone getting a bit warm those first few days...

Been using the classic for two weeks now and leave my bluetooth on all the time. Thankfully don't have a battery drain problem. I drive around 1-2 hours. Lots of calls and emails/messaging throughout the day.

best way to safe battery power is to turn BT off completely if not in use.
Got a BT keyboard and BT mouse connected sort of all day to may Classic (around 12 hours exactly) and yes battery drain is significant, at the end of the day I'm easy getting below 20% but a charger is always nearby, if connected a BT headset at 3rd BT device to the Classic too, well power draining even faster.

As a sample... my old Z10 now holding battery for two days without the need of a charger, but the radio is turned off, no SIM inserted, only running on WiFi, and that's with the original 1st battery that came with the phone tree years ago.

So what I'm trying to say, keep an eye on what your are using this permanent services for, turn it off or on as needed, no need to keep NFC, BT and WifI nor the radio on full time, no wonder battery live will drop, all dependent on your use.

My Classic's BT is on all day long, at work. Sometimes 12-13hrs. After long day of hard use, Classic's batt might be drained too far to trust for the trip home but BT causes only slight battery impact AFAIK. "discoverable" is off but no need once paired, AFAIK. Tethering is also off.

As mentioned b4, any radio takes power. Also, one of my office's "resident smart guys" is ALLways working with Bluetooth hardware for various clients. He ALLways turns his BT off when not needed. Seeing some of the things he does makes me glad he's scrupulous. Other folks might not be. I shut mine off when leaving the office, if not specifically needed. Guess his paranoia makes me paranoid? Lol. Fwiw.

When I updated to OS 10.3.2.2876 I also found that Bluetooth power consumption, and battery life in general, we're unacceptable. This, combined with the Android runtime issues, make 2876 a bad release for me. I've downgraded to 10.3.2.2813 and I'm happy.
