    Hi Folks,

I'm planning on buying a blue BlackBerry classic from BlackBerry to match my black one. Can anyone provide some insight on a reason to buy from BlackBerry direct? Also like to get some feedback if anyone has purchased direct, and what kind of things come with the phone

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure the blue ones were a limited run, and are sold out.

    Can anyone else verify this?

    Still available on Shopblackberry.

Best reason for buying from BB is the direct line to the manufacturer for service or warranty. Also, depending on where you live, they ship the product very fast. And you get a fully unlocked, fresh out of the box device.

The Blue one is a gorgeous device. Hard to resist.

I got a blue one from Shop BlackBerry and it's great. I had the black one for a while, and the blue one is even more unique looking. Reminds me of the older BlackBerrys like the 8700g or 8800, with their metallic paints.

Wow that blue one is very nice. It's too bad that it's only available unlocked.

I think they mean that it's too bad that it's not available from a carrier...just amazon and Shop BlackBerry.

    Yup, exactly what I meant.

Unlocked is good! Unless you're with Verizon then you have no choice...

Shame PP isn't available on Verizon too

Been considering the Classic as a backup device but I must admit that this blue looks darn good. Unlocked is not an issue in Canada, au contraire.

I picked my Blue one up from eBay - you'll be surprised how many people might be selling! I picked one up near-brand new off eBay at a reasonable price...

WOW! That blue Classic looks way better in real life than those product images on BlackBerry's website. It almost looks like a Dodge Viper Blue... so nice!!!

So true. That was the response I was given when I asked couple sellers. Man, this hub blows my iOS notifications out the water.

Tbh, I appreciate my Classic more after using WebOS, android, and iOS. It seems a lot of BlackBerry complainers are hardcore users, who've been loyal and feeling like BlackBerry screwed them over or something.

Every single BlackBerry ive owned has been black. Maybe it's time I mix it up a little. This blue classic looks beautiful.

Trust me, photos/videos don't do the Blue version much justice... I thought it was rather 'cheap' looking until I held it in my hand and blown away.
Unlike other 'coloured'/special editions of phones in the past where the paint comes off/fades away, the blue one is amazing, highly recommend it - looks unique/cool too!

Blue models have better resale. They are definitely a cut above.

I'm looking for a used one now.

That thing is gorgeous. I never thought I would want one but agree that seeing one in real life looks way better than stock photos. Hmm thinking about picking up a cheap used one to use when I wear my blue suit...
