On the one hand, I'm very skeptical of the date only because none of the other dates have been correct so far! On the other hand, between the pic that CB posted and the OP's information I'm guessing that VZW employees were provided with this update today via a VZW system. So it's clearly a good sign that the CB screenshot and OP info match.

All I can say is that I'm running on fumes over here. I'm using a Motorola Q9c (windows mobile non-touchscreen) with a cracked screen (it just cracked 1-2 months ago), an extended battery on its last legs, and an OS that was literally written in 2002!! But I just can't get rid of my keyboard and I can't wait for the Classic keyboard! Anyone who has used the Q9, Q9c, Q9m, or Q9h can relate to why I am addicted to my keyboard and a keyboard phone in general.

Anyhow, I certainly hope this date is the real deal, as I can't hold out for very much longer! Here's to this being true!!!

There was a release date for the Z30 as well and it was nearly 100% online and over the phone. Until I see it in stores I'm skeptical of anything between BlackBerry and Verizon. If it ends up online or phone only that will only satisfy those holding out for it. It won't ever touch new people's hands whether that is the strategy or not.

I knew this was going to happen.

My wife has been wanting the Classic since I first showed her a picture and she has had her Q10 since launch day on Verizon.

I was(am) considering getting a Classic for the times when I want a smaller phone... BUT on Wednesday I bought a new video camera because our current one uses tapes and is a little old. Still works but doesn't work 100%. Plus I like new toys. So while shopping I noticed that the same camera specs that I was looking at comes with out the built in projector for much less. Great I saved a few bucks. Then I hit the buy button on a Hero 4 Silver with ski bundle. Doh, there goes my video camera savings.


So since I dropped that much money, Murphy's Law took over and the Verizon leak came out.

If this is true, this will probably be the first time I've ever read a thread about someone knowing someone who knows someone at a carrier that actually had reliable info. I'm excited for the Classic for sure!

I had to talk to 3 Verizon tech support people yesterday to add a tablet to my account and get the texting setup correctly. One was in Atlanta, one somewhere on the east coast, and one out West. I asked all 3 about the Classic. The first one said nothing official yet but be patient a few weeks and you will be able to get one. One confirmed Feb 26 and the last one actually had one with him and he really like the track pad and he told me it would be out in about 2 weeks. So it looks like the rumors might be true.

Yes! My girlfriend and I were just talking about how bad the signal for T-Mobile in my area was and now this great news!!
I've had VZW for many years (first carrier ever), but recently (1.5yrs maybe?) decided to switch to save every dollar possible. Considering all the annoying dropped calls, it's time to switch back.
My only question is... do new subscribers have to sign 2yr contract? Or will a contract-less-pay-for-the-phone-full-retail plan be available?

I heard the 26th from my corporate mobility/IT manager (very large company) who heard it from their corporate Verizon rep. Unfortunately, they also said that there will be no Verizon Passport.

made the decision to switch to AT&T and go with the Passport. 3 months left in my VZW contract - term fee of ~$140. Done with them. AT&T will be about 15-20% cheaper every month with an extra GB of data, can use any phone, no contract, and obviously the Passport.

No-brainer for me
