anybody out there buy the blackberry softshell oem case in black for their blackberry classic ??

Wondering how the fit is if the quality is good and cutouts all align or if there are any flaws.

For 20 bucks seems like a good buy for light scratches

According to some of the ShopCrackBerry review it makes the power button a bit harder to press - BlackBerry Soft Shell Case for Classic | BlackBerry Skin Cases | ShopCrackBerry

I have it and love it. No problem pressing the power button at all (weird because had one for my Bold 9900 and it was hard to press). All the cutouts align fine and I think it makes the phone look better without adding much bulk.

Yep using it and loving it at start it will be harder to press power button but after awhile it will get better.

I've had it and returned it. I hated it.

There is a loose-fitting lip around the whole device, and it looks like a mistake. If you had the Q10 cases, you'd know they were flush.

The power key and volume keys are very difficult to press, which is shocking after how great the Q10 cases were.

Total junk, imo. Thankfully the Classic seems hardy enough to be used without a case (unlike the Passport).

Tried the BB one and buttons to hard to push picked up one from Nillkin on ebay 7.50 fits like a charm.
and cutouts are better for locking/unlocking.

the bb case has a lip that irritates me when trying to press the outer buttons as it is not very well rounded off, the nillkin case has a better fit and cutouts for the buttons so they are easier to press, and is a much tighter fit to the phone.

I wrote one of those reviews. I tried BlackBerry soft shell and hated problem with power button. The Nilkin one I bought is much better

I used it for a bit. I thought it was great but over time the whole case has loosened and doesn't sit around the phone as tight.

I have the soft shell and it sucks because it's really loose.
Try this one which is cheaper and way better

So I went ahead and bough the blackberry softshell official case and I must say the quality is excellent. Cutouts line up perfectly.

Yes the power button is hard to press which is so strange but with time I'm thinking it will get softer.

Yes it feels a bit loose around the edges but it doesn't interfered with holding the phone or making calls

I think for 20 bucks it offers good scratch protection and it looks great as it has the BlackBerry logo on the back of device.

I've noticed my Classic soft shell loosening over time, so I've taken to throwing it into the freezer from time to time to try to get it to shrink lol.

I've used different types of back covers Inc nillkin, leather case, amzer double layer hybrid but after all of this i'm currently using it without any back cover and it looks gorgeous. Since every case covers the blackberry logo at the back and it adds unwanted weight plus rubberised back is finger print resistant, I don't think blackberry classic needs a back cover or case.

This thread is from 2015. =) Anyway i'm using a Nillkin case, fits like a charm, no added bulk. The OEM BB case will loosen its fit over time, so its a no-no for me.
