It is rubberyish...I can feel a little stickyness when my hands are clean like now on the couch. lol

I spend about 50% of my time out working in the field, either dirty, or hot and sweaty, or all winter with gloves on. That is actually when I learned to answer with my nose, easier than trying to get gloves off before you lose the call. I can't imagine there isn't a huge class of people like me who work outside, but still want to communicate, I see a huge ad campaign right there.

Atnyway, I do see what you mean about it being sticky, but the texture and gripyness, of the leaked back, really appeals to me. The moto-x has a back like that I beleive, and it really made a difference trying to hold on to it.

I put the extended batteyr and door on my Bolds, just for another edge, and there grippyness to hold on to.

To be honest I don't think BlackBerry have the money to make 2 versions of a device right now. They just going with one idea and hoping it works.
Yeah, I agree. Although I'm disappointed - I wanted high-end, premium classic with the best specs, all connectors and a removable battery and I'm prepared to pay a premium price for this - I think it make sense to make the classic cheaper and try to win the business market back. Or at least to get the (business) legacy BB users to a BB10 device.
I hope that works out and I will get the dream device later. Until then I'll keep my beloved Q10 (and will still miss the toolbelt)

Aside from my whinging about missing features and too low specs ... I must say the device in the pics looks nice

I like that it's not as rounded as the Q10 (straight top and bottom with curved edges) and - of course - I like the outer metal band - when it's really metal ...

This reminds me with my 8830 when Blackberry introduced the leather holster w/ magnet/chip/whatever that could auto-answer a call when removed from holster. It was one more convenice feature to make using the phone when hands are tied up a LOT easier. Would like to see some of these features in the Classic again.

Those settings are in BB10. What it is still missing are holster profiles. For example, I had my 9900 while in normal mode, tone is always on, but it only vibrates while in holster. I would like that back...

Gimme a Blackberry Classic with a nice polished metal shell like the Porsche Design models and I'll pay you $1,000-$1,500 for it TODAY. I got the cash but I'm not buying a $2000 Q10 when the damn thing is obsolete already. Are you guys really that clueless??

C'mon Deathberry- I challenge you to actually make something that people want you morons!

I think you're right. Let's hope at least that is true. I really want to see metal frets and not that squeaky plastic ones from legacy devices. And a glass weave back would be nice too.

Have you guys seen the leaks, it's going to have the same shiny stainless steel frame of the 9900 with the soft dimpled rubber of the Z10 - pretty sure it's going to look and feel real nice.

If the Passport is too big to hold comfortably in one hand then I will pick up this sexy thing. Wish it had same specs as Passport though.

Right now the usb port on my Q is damaged and I can't charge it. I'm on the fence whether to buy another or just wait for the this classic HDMI-less fellow.

You can get a Q10 for about 250Euro right now, which if you ask me, is pretty good price!

I am looking at the passport, but I highly doubt I will let go of the Q really like the little bugger

One thing that is not "classic" about the classic, is the non removable battery. And, yes, there have been lots and lots of discussions and points in the forums regarding pros vs cons of removable - non removable battery.

But being "classic" without removable battery... well.. for me is not very attractive. It is supposed to be for the power user that likes to do things with the efficiency of the "old BlackBerry" as well. This type of user (I would dare bet most old BlackBerry users) that are the classic's core client pool, would really prefer a removable battery... but that is just an observation and not going to change the fact of the non removable battery being there :-P

Just hope this does not disuade potential buyers though.

    My 2 cents only.
