    I am considering upgrading fom the Q10 to the Classic. The issue of double typing is a concern having replaced the handset 3 times during the 2 year contract for keyboard issues. However my question concerns BB Link and BB Blend. I regularly back up to Link. When i get a new handset i hook up and restore from Link. So how does that now work. Would i connect the new classic to link and restore. Or backup the Q10 to Blend and back up Then restore to Classic?

    Regarding classic are we able to downloads apps like snapchat now?

    Blend doesn't do Backups/Restores, it's still Link that does that.

    Backup your Q10 data with Link and restore it to your Classic with Link.

    I think Device Switch in Link is more for coming from an Android, iOS or old legacy BBOS phone.

    Thanks that's very helpful. Will the Classic allow more non blackberry apps? I've heard that it allows amazon apps whatever thy are.

    The Q10 and Classic run the same OS. App compatibility is the same. Either can run many Android apps.

    Thank you. So no Snapchat for me then! And still no easy way to block calls as there is with ~Android and IOS. no app required. Just press block.

    Google Play Services cannot be installed on a BlackBerry. Period.

    You can use some tools made by Cobalt that can patch some apps into thinking you have it installed, but they won't work if those services are actually required by the app.

    Snapchat is a no-go.
