I've been using my blackberry classic for barely 2 months. Suddenly the phone gets very hot even when idle and the battery drains pretty fast. I've taken to closing all apps after using them, yet the problem persists. I've noticed that it gets even hotter while on charge.

What could be the cause of this and how do i solve it?

It's probably a rogue app that you have installed. I would start uninstalling apps in the backwards order that you installed them....the last thing comes off first. Give it a chance and see if that helps.

Look at Device Monitor to see what is using up battery.

Be classically hip with the BlackBerry Classic

Yep, probably an app. If you can do as the 1st reply suggested, that would help you track down which app may be causing this.
I've stuck to installing one app at a time for this reason, so I can mess with it 1st.
For me I had to get rid of Kindle and at another time the previous Blaq. There was another, but I can't remember.
